A comprehensive research analysis which provided an overview of current and past practice as it relates to learning technologies within the learning and skills sector. The report reviewed and analysed:
- approaches taken and resources produced over the last decade to develop workforce skills in the effective use of learning technologies;
- a wide sweep of the education sector, including workforce development programmes undertaken by JISC, BECTA, LSIS, NIACE, NLN, LSN, and relevant research completed by the London Knowledge Lab;
- international best practice on how to achieve high impact interventions that lead to positive changes in teaching and learning; and
the effectiveness of what has gone before in order to capture what has the greatest impact when supporting workforce development in the use of learning technologies (to include practitioners, leaders, managers and governors).
